~Goodbye~

It is hard to believe how fast time is going past us.

During the school break, I had participated in a 5 days 4 nights camp (4th - 8th June) organised by AIESEC UPM which is known as MIRACLE Youth Conference attended by over 300 students from all over Malaysia and also 7 interns from India, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Kenya & Netherlands. It had been a great experience throughout the week where I met lots of new friends and had wonderful time with them, especially my team mates!!! They had done a very good job working as a team!!! Congrats and keep it up!!! Deepest gratitude to all the OCs & Faci, Thanks for everything =)

Since my school was selected to be one of the participating schools, two interns which are Owen (Kenya) & Gaurav (India) were posted to my school for the past 3 weeks for school programme. All the students LOVE them during their presence in school!!! We do have lots of fun hanging out together especially during the camp!!! Singing some funny Malay songs that they don't really know what it means, brainstorming and struggled to complete the "Orang Asli Puzzle" which was said as mission impossible (by Owen), night walking in no where of the jungle (Gaurav and his group was lost!!! Haha =) Owen asked him to seek for clues from a DOG!!!), climbing and hanging on the rock like spider man (Owen was fast though he claimed that was his first time doing so), crossing a high and shaky bridge (sweat man followed behind Gaurav!!! He was shaking the bridge non stop!!!), flying fox with some funny superman poses and lots more crazy things happened!!!
We even celebrated Gaurav's birthday!!! Desperately waited at the cake house for an hour time just to get him a vegetarian cake!!! haha =) But is worth waiting because the cake is so yummy!!!

Unfortunately, time never stop by us especially wonderful moment, just like sunset - it is so beautiful but short!!!
It has come to the time for a bid farewell!!! You could leave your belongings here in Malaysia but never leave behind your wonderful memories here. Pack "them" in your luggage and bring "them" back with you!!!
We will all miss you and we shall stay in touch =)

~A Great Victory~

After all the sweat and hard work, we had finally archived our goal!!! We successfully completed our mission - building a national flag with bottle caps!!!

Good news is that we won the competition (re-art competition which mean using recyclable items for model building)

Here is the artwork:-

Isn't it amazing? Believe it or not, more than 5000 bottle caps had been used to build this flag!!!

The biggest challenge to finish this within a very short time is getting enough bottle caps!!! Suddenly, bottle caps have become something so precious for us. If we happened to see one bottle cap in the drain, we will pick it up and collect it!!!

It is not easy to collect bottle caps especially in 5 days time. At the beginning, we thought we would only use up to 2000 bottle caps max. However, when we start pasting these bottle caps on the flag, we realised that we need a lot more bottle caps and we do not have much time because we were in the running of competition. We were so desperate for bottle caps till we will do what ever necessary to get the bottle caps. We been to houses by houses, drain by drain, streets by streets to collect bottle caps. We even asked our friends to "donate" their bottle caps to us even though their plastic bottle is still full with water (Is ok, you can finish your water later, we just need the caps, you can keep the bottle!!! Haha =p)
We stayed back late in school till the very last second before we attended the prize giving ceremony just to complete our task!!! Really thankful for those who helped and contributed. At least our hard work bring us victory and satisfaction!!! Yeah!!! We make it!!! We created miracle!!! We changed things from impossible to something possible through our strong faith!!!

~A day of Miracle~

At this very crucial moment, here comes Miracle that bring me hope and brighten up my day!!!

Tomorrow (4th July), my school is invited to attend a closing ceremony at KL Tower from 0930 - 1230 and is free admission. Unfortunately, it is during school hour and only sixth formers are allowed to attend this function. Though the admission is free, we have to pay for our transportation fees (rented a bus) which is RM 15.00 per person (If more people is attending, the fees will be cheaper).

Yesterday, a total number of 20 person had signed up (the response was really poor due to the fact that is during school hour and they just don't want to miss class). However, the number of people who signed up is just nice to cover our transportation fees. So, we have no worries =)

Today, when I was collecting the money from them, 3 persons wanted to pulled out (because one friend not going, then others also not going). Sigh... According to the teacher in charge, if the amount of money we collected is insufficient to cover the expanses, we would have to call it off!!!

Is really unfair if we call off especially for those who wanted to attend this function so badly because it is quite a meaningful day for MYC participants and for those who helped to complete the flag(using bottle caps). I was feeling so distracted and upset (didn't pay attention when lesson is going on). My mind is totally blank and doubted if this is the right decision to be made.

10 minutes before the recess bell ring, miracle happened!!! Pn Azizah came to me and told me that the school is willing to subsidise our transportation fees!!! I can't believe what I had heard and was jumping joyfully outside my class (my friend thought I'm mad =p). My task now is to get 40 pepople to attend since we don't have to pay for it!!! By end of the day, only 28 persons confirmed going though it is free. Haha =) Stilll study is more important!!! It doesn't matter now as long as others get to attend =D Thanks to Raymondo for preparing the letter!!!
